Point People To the Gospel – Web Cards

Use web cards from either Women Today Online or make your own, and give them to clerks, co-workers, leave them in waiting rooms, washrooms, on public phones, in gyms, in internet café's, or pin them up on bulletin boards.

Maximizing Email

Maximize sending an email by adding a link after your signature at the bottom of all your emails.  The links can be to a particular website, an article on self-esteem or secrets, the advice section on our websites, your testimony (or someone elses), and daily devotionals. This is an easy and effective way to evangelize and disciple.

Share Your Story

Let God use your testimony to reach people around the world. People love to read and hear stories about real people. Use our websites to help you effectively write and communicate your testimony.
You can also create your own website and use it there. Once it is online, you can point non-christians to your story online.

Mentoring & Counseling

  1. Online Mentoring

    - Become a Mentor
Apply to become an online mentor. Although we do have a few professional counselors mentoring,  most of our online mentoring team are Christians desiring to help as best they can by using their life experiences and God-given resources to help build a younger Christian in his/her faith . To apply, just fill out and submit our online application form along  with a reference from your pastor.
Through the online mentoring program you will be connected with a visitor that indicates through a form online, that they have either dedicated or rededicated their life to Christ, are asking spiritual questions, or for some because of the anonymity of the Internet, feel that it is a safe place and have shared their deepest hurts or darkest secrets.

    - Encourage Hurting People to Contact a Mentor
As you meet people, encourage those that are hurting to get in touch with our online mentors. It is as simple as logging onto our sites and clicking on the 'Ask Us?' buttons or the 'Need Prayer?' links, or just give them a link to the website page that would best meet their needs:
    **For unchurched women:
    http://www.womentodaymagazine.com/chat/askus.html or http://www.womentodaymagazine.com/chat/share.html
    **For hurting Christian women:
    http://www.christianwomentoday.com/chat/askus.html or http://www.christianwomentoday.com/chat/share.html
**For a mixed audience who are seekers:
    http://www.thelife.com/interactive/ask.html or http://www.thelife.com/interactive/share.html

There are times when the needs of people that you come in contact with are too deep for you to meet. Here some guidelines to keep in mind as you minister to people that you meet online.

  2. Counseling/advice Columns - Dr. Ginger
Are you a professional counsellor with a heart to reach hurting people around the globe? Join our team of Christian counsellors that volunteer their time to give wise counsel and advice to people who write our websites for advice. To do this, apply to be an online mentor and indicate your interest in becoming an online counsellor.

Ministering Through Hosted Chat Sessions

  1. View is as a real-life small group online ministry
Pray for the sessions.  By praying, God can use the chat session to minister to people and spiritual warfare is very real.
  2. Chat permits the session to go deeper faster than a “real-life meeting”. It also permits for a more focused discussion and it provides an effective platform to pray, evangelize & disciple.

Starting Point

  1. Determine your goals and objectives and set-up a chat-room.
  2. Start small and be patient as it takes time to build up a room.

Developing Hosts

To run effective online discussions, hosts need a heart for ministry. These most likely will be people who would like to make a difference in someone’s life through evangelism and discipleship. Hosts will keep the session on track and give the spiritual direction required.
