“If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him.

But when he asks, he must BELIEVE and not doubt, because he who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind.

That one should not think he will receive anything from the Lord; he is a double-minded person, unstable in all he does.”  (James 1: 5, 6 & 7)

Father God,

I need wisdom today. I want to receive wisdom that comes from You. Only You know the beginning from the end and You see all things. You know what is best for my life and You promise to give me wisdom generously. Thank you that You understand my fears and insecurities and You are there to help me.

Increase my faith, Lord, as I call out to You for wisdom. Grow my small faith and give me a faith that believes You and all You have promised in Your Word.  I ask that You will give me the wisdom I need in order to live as You want me to.  Give me Your strength and Your joy as I lean on You.

Forgive me for being double minded…with faith one minute and doubting the next. I know this makes me unstable in my thoughts and my emotions and my decisions. Stabilize me today Lord with faith that can move mountains.

Thank you that I can count on You to fill me with wisdom to know what to do and say! Lead me to the resources and the people who can help me gain any knowledge I might need. I depend on You today to give me practical insight and spiritual discernment to understand what is best.

Thank you for Your patience and Your grace to me today.
