Many of us receive mentor requests that can be answered with similar responses. Here's a tip where you can save yourself some time!
Begin to develop basic e-mail responses that you can use over and over again for your mentor response letters. While it is vital to respond personally to each e-mail, you do not have to rewrite the entire response. For example, you may want to form an email response letter that shares your testimony to a non believer, or an email response letter that shares resources from our websites to help out a new Christian.
Each time you answer a mentor request you can add or change as much or as little as you want from this form letter. Don’t forget to fix the spacing and personalize the letter with several introductory sentences about the person's situation. As you create these response letters, you can use your “Save As” option, name the documents, and use them as templates for future mentor responses. Pretty soon you will have a whole series to choose from!
