In all circumstances – pray. Some e-mails are so complicated, so pain-filled or so spiritually needy that the only way you feel you can really help is to pray – that is OK. Not only should we pray for each of our e-mail mentorees before and after we respond to them, but it is also helpful to write a prayer in the body of our e-mail. Remember how encouraged and cared for you felt when someone prayed especially for you. It does not matter how wise and eloquent our words are – it is the power of GOD that changes lives.
