No More Limitations
by Lynda

Sometimes our lives take unexpected turns.  That is exactly what happened to me when I found the Christian Women Today website. I felt God calling me into a new area of ministry. He was nudging me to move beyond the borders of my ministry in my local church.  When I discovered www.christianwomentoday.com I knew it was what God was calling me to do. The prayer and mentoring programs that I am now involved in have been such a blessing to me!

No More Limitations

This past year has brought some limitations into my life and I am no longer able to get out and about. The online ministry has worked well for my situation. The Lord had also put it in my heart to take me deeper in my relationship with Him, to purify my life and move ahead with a sense of urgency to tie-up some loose ends in my life.   Now more then ever my prayers for others have been so powerful.  Praying for my sisters and brothers in Christ has humbled me. Sharing God’s love is our duty. Jesus gave us the Great Commission and the commandment to love one another.  This means not leaving the lost in a hopeless world.  We have a job to do!

One prayer email request that touched my heart was from a lady who was suffering with breast cancer. The cancer had moved into her spine and other areas. She had prayed for full healing as she had two teenage children and a wonderful husband, Christians all and trusting in God's promises. I cried for her, I felt her despair and her deep sorrow. This was a hard email for me to answer for I knew the answer would not be the one she wanted, yet I knew it was the one God was leading me to give her.  I wrote:

Your request touched my heart.  Know that my prayers are with you and your family during this time. There are times in our lives that we are made to bear things we do not understand, only later is the will of Our Lord made clear to us. Do not despair for I truly believe like you that God may use your affliction as an example for his glory.

I have quoted the verses below to strengthen you to know you are not alone. I pray if I may be more of a service to you that you do not hesitate to write to me at this e-mail address. Yours In Christ.

2Co:12:8: For this thing I besought the Lord thrice, that it might depart from me.
2Co:12:9: And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.
2Co:
12:10: Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ's sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong.

Her husband wrote me that she passed away June 28th and thanked me for my prayers.

It brought this ministry to life for me! God bless it!

I praise and honor God for all He has given me to do and all He will give me still. I thank Him for wonderful organizations like Christian Women Today and others who are out there every day, some putting their lives on the line, to make a difference in someone's life.

God bless and keep you all.
