How to Add a Feature Image to an Index

I. Index images (Steps to Importing and Renaming Images)
Step 1:
Before editing the index, the cropped image must be imported into Interwoven. Once it is imported, it can be renamed.
Step 2: Images can be renamed in two ways: (1) by the index, or (2) by the article featured in the index. For example, if you are renaming an image for an article called "curlyhair" in the "beauty" index, you can either name the image by the index name (beauty.jpg), or the article name (curlyhair.jpg).
Generally, the second method (article name) is best except in the case of the devotions index. In this case, the feature article is a link to the daily devotionals and is not an article. Therefore, for devotional indexes, it is best to name the image ‘devotions.jpg’ and overwrite the current photo for that index.
Step 3: Direct submit the image.
Note: Images do not have to be .jpgs, they can also be .gifs. Either way the suffix is not something you have to type in when naming/renaming an image. It appears automatically, like ‘.html’ for articles.

II. Adding an image to an index
(Example: ‘beauty’ index)
Step 1:
Open up the index DCR to be edited.
Step 2: In Section 1 where it says ‘feature image’, click on "browse". Here you can browse to your imported photo in images/features.
This image will correspond to ‘article 1’ hence naming it according to the article.
Step 3: Preview the DCR to make sure everything shows up correctly.
Step 4: Save and direct submit when finished.

Note: To see the edits on dev or live, you will need to deploy the index DCR and the image separately.
