To login to TeamSite, browse to https://iw.ccci.org/iw/. When there, you will be presented with a login prompt with 3 fields. Login using the username and password given to you.
You will also need to choose whether you are to login as an Author, Editor, Administrator or Master. If you do not have the permission to login as a role, you will receive an error.
Authors have the option of the "WebDesk" interface which is a different look and feel of the TeamSite system. Contact your site administrator if you are an author to find out whether you are to use the "WebDesk" interface or not.
Understanding the Interface

The interface for TeamSite is divided into three main areas called frames. The top frame is the toolbar frame which includes three dropdown menus (File,Edit,View), and a row of buttons. The buttons as well as the options in the dropdown menus will change depending on where you are on the site. The left frame is the branch/directory structure which will display the directory you are currently working in by bolding the link. The right frame is the area where you select the file(s) you wish to view, edit, submit or deploy.
TeamSite has us structure sites into different branches. Each branch contains private workareas, which contain complete virtual copies of the Web site; a staging area, where contributors integrate their work; and editions, which are read-only snapshots of the Web site at various points in its development. Each area contains a virtual copy of the entire Web site. Content is submitted from workareas to the staging area, and the staging area is then published as an edition. Editions may then be deployed to your production server.
Working on your Site.
Once you are logged in to TeamSite, simply go to the branch you want to update and choose the workarea, normally named after the editor of the site. An example of this is the content workarea in the west/main/TRUTHMEDIA/truthmedia.com branch.
Workareas are the only spot in TeamSite that you can work on files.
What is a DCR?
One of the reasons we use TeamSite is that it allows us to separate the look and feel of a website from the actual content. In TeamSite, a data content record, or DCR is the term for an article, index, form, newsletter etc. in its content form.
For information on adding or editing article DCRs, check out "Adding and Editing Articles" and "Adding Images to Articles".
For an article on basic index DCRs, view "Building Index Pages".
If TruthMedia has setup an html newsletter for you, you can find the manual here.
Deploy on Demand
Deploy on Demand is the tool used to deploy files to the development and live webservers. Once the file is on either of these sites, you can view the file by browsing to it, and so can the public. For instructions on using Deploy on Demand view the article, "Using Deploy on Demand".
