THE NEW SYSTEM
Preparation for Images.
To make syndication work properly across our sites, as well as partner sites, the location we save images in is the same as the old system.

Import images from your local computer by using the FILE > IMPORT FILES menu option. Place them in the /images/article/channel/articlefilename/ directory and name them 1.gif, 2.jpg, etc.

Once the files are in IW, you can then use the VisualFormat picture button [looks like a mountain] to select and place into your article. When you click on the button, a window will pop up that allows you to choose the file from your workarea, add a Title [alt tag], change alignment, spacing etc. To modify the alt tag, spacing, etc of an image already placed, simply right-click and choose picture.
